INDIQ is the first non-destructive technology laboratory which has been set up to identify and contribute to quality enhancement in industrially important technologies, and to train scientists.

INDIQ will enable SMEs access high-technical expertise and R&D possibilities for quality enhancement, which otherwise is not easily available to them. The indigenous innovation will ensure continuous improvement of the Indian products and services, which would also obviate the need for costly periodic upgrading of products and facilities based on foreign research results.

INDIQ has also begun training the IPR and PRL scientists.
